What I actually do at St. Philip's...

On a part-time basis you will find me in the front office covering most of the bookkeeping activities for the congregation. Some of those duties would be – working with volunteer members to reconcile / post weekly offerings, doing the accounts payable (entering payment requests / running checks), various month-end activities (reconciling bank statements, journal entries, generating financial reports for the board and various staff members). There are also numerous other things that cross my desk during the course of the week / month that keep me quite busy.

Favorite Bible verse and/or quote...

There are many favorite passages that come to mind and the passage du jour rather depends on mood, time of year, what scriptural based song might be going through my head, etc – but here is one that comes to mind quite often:

Micah 6:8 – “What does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

When I am not at St. Philip's you can find me...

You will find me wearing my other hat as Director of Morning Worship Music for Centennial UMC in Roseville, where I direct and/or coordinate 10 music ensembles for our Sunday morning worship services. This is a real passion of mine and I’ve been in church music / worship ministry for over 30 years. I also have a very diverse accounting background.

Other things you will find me doing, is being at home with my wife, Stacy, our two fur babies (cats), Marzi and Emma – enjoying our home in Golden Valley. Love to cook, entertain, travel (we have lived in California and Hawaii), long walks, swimming, yoga and the list goes on. There just isn’t enough time to experience/explore/meet all the wonderful things, places and people in life!
